Plans for I.E.H.A. Home and Family Conference scheduled for June 10-12, 2009 are well underway. Come celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the I.E.H.A. Chorus the Melody Makers of Indiana. They began in 1934 and continue strongly today! The chorus with their director, Scott R. Buchanan, will sing and celebrate in the Elliott Hall of Music, Wednesday evening, June 10, at 7:30 p.m. An ice cream social will follow the Wednesday evening performance at Purdue's Hall of Music.There will be new and exciting workshops to attend. I-LEaD training is scheduled on three levels, Track I, Track II and Track III with time to attend the luncheons, Recognition Dinner, and speakers. Our Opening Luncheon on Wednesday will begin with the style show "I.E.H.A. Takes Broadway" followed with our keynote speaker Joyce Beery Miles. Concurrent sessions vary with topics on travel, food safety, I.E.H.A. Focus Groups, CFS Jeopardy, gardening and quilts to name a few. The annual business meeting will take place on Thursday June 11, at 4:30 with the Recognition Banquet following. Tours are another favorite at conference and they are scheduled for Friday. Check your conference brochure for the complete listing of tours. Don't forget to check out the Exhibitors and Vendors who will be attending conference. Logo and Marketing promises us some new products to show our I.E.H.A. pride and get our name out to those in our communities. Also, Cultural Arts exhibits get more beautiful and varied each year. Don't miss them. We will end conference on Friday with the Closing Luncheon and speaker Donya Lester. There is something for everyone at Home and Family Conference 2009.
