In the next few weeks many IEHA members will be reading a book to a Head Start class which will continue the 7th year of the First Books for Kids program.That book may very well be one that was purchased at the annual Scholastic Book Fair which was held in Indianapolis on August 6th. Fourteen IEHA counties took advantage of purchasing Scholastic books at a 50% discount. IEHA shoppers perused the aisles in the scholastic warehouse searching for just the right books for their Head Start classrooms. The total amount of books purchased was $14,000. A Scholastic Book Fair is being planned for August 2009 and all county presidents will be notified of the date. Linda Gause
