IEHA Caring and Sharing
A Volunteer Community Support Update

08/16/08

The very successful four-part program, IEHA Caring and Sharing will continue this year.

Share the Warmth
Make and deliver blankets, quilts and afghans to Riley Children's Hospital. Also, check nursing homes in your communities to see if there is a need for walker and wheelchair totes and lap robes.

Share the Love
Puppy pillows, teddy bears, tote bags, cancer caps and pinafores are always needed so Share the Love by sending them to Riley or donating to your local community agencies. Continue to collect those pop tabs and take to any local McDonald's restaurant or the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana.

Share the Knowledge
Share the Knowledge by continuing to inform your local communities about the importance of organ donation, breast cancer awareness and walking programs.

Share the Blessings
Share the Blessings by continuing involvement in your local county programs and organizations.

All club members need to remember to keep track of their volunteer hours and the items they donate. All of the information needs to be entered on the Volunteer Community Support Form found in the County President's Bluebook. This information is for your county use only and should be forwarded to your county president in the spring. It will be helpful to your county president when compiling information for the annual County Presidents Report.

Please continue to support the many worthwhile projects. The IEHA Volunteer Community Support Chair for 2008-09 is Shirley Nix, Immediate Past State President. Use the "Contact Us" section of this website if you have questions about this area of IEHA work.
