This year First Books for Kids volunteers have been very busy encouraging children across the state of Indiana to read and use their imaginations through our statewide program. At Home and Family Conference an informational session was held. At this session, participants received information on how to locate grant money, primary requirements for grants, what type of book to chose for preschool students and new sources to purchase books. There were 35 participants.We are very pleased and excited for one of our new counties. Starke, in northern Indiana, has been blessed with a donation of $5000.00. Congratulations!! Just think how the children will benefit from our ladies and this program.
